What method of scar revision is needed for an appendix scar that is indented? (photos)

I got my appendix out 7 years ago and now it has healed to a point the scar has faded very light and would not be noticeable if it wasn't for the fact it is indented causing a decline in the skin area there. At first I thought it was just my body fat percentage that was causing the indent but after dropping down very low I realised the indent is the scar itself. What can be done for this and would the final result completely remove the indent

From the submitted photographs your scar appears to be depressed. A scar revision including release of the deep, adherent tissue along with a careful tension-free "plastic" closure  is likely to yield a more flat, narrow scar that causes less shadowing.

Basically your scar appears tethered in the picture. I think a scar revision that releases the scar bands will correct the dimpling that bothers you. This procedure could likely be done in an office OR setting under local anesthesia with minimal downtime (as long as you are basically healthy).
