Can an old open scar be removed and how? (Photo)

I was cut by a rusty zinc when i was a child, never got treated by a doctors, however it never closed up it got healed with this gap between and on top of that I have keratosis Polaris. Help me pls.

Burn scars are often discolored. In our office, we would use a combination protocol including Melarase creams, Melapads, and Q switch laser to help improve the pigmentation. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
