Hi, im 40 years old female. I have Fibromyalgia which started after breast augmentation. I have textured breast implants behind the muscle which were recalled in 2019. I want to get them out but ive being told i could end up in more life long pain. Ive only got a medical card so all ill be able to do is get them removed, capsules will not be took out. Is there steps to avoid life long pain happening? Is getting implants only out enough to stop serious illnesses?

En bloc surgery is for cancer patients only and not used for implant removed. Your implants and capsules can be removed and checked for heavy metals. You may need a lift as well. An examination will tell if the lift can be done at the same time, or a later time.

Removing implants placed behind the breast may remove a little more breast tissue if the capsules are removed. But, there is usually not much difference between the two positions for removals. Both removals will deflate the breasts.
