Can Invisalign contain gluten?

I'm sorry to hear that your daughter has Celiac Disease (also known as Celiac Sprue), but her prognosis is great.  I know there's a lot of misinformation on the internet about this disease, so let me offer a professional opinion.  Invisalign doesn't contain gluten and the plastic is not likely porous enough to trap and carry gluten particles.  The cause of your daughters elevated gluten antibodies is likely due to gluten present in her diet in some other food or substance.  Gluten is so widely used in foods that you may need a detailed list from a dietitian of foods to avoid.  Everything from soups to sauces to ice creams to hot dogs to breads to mixed nuts can contain gluten.  Chances are, you think you're providing your daughter with a gluten-free diet, but probably not.  Try eliminating all foods beside the ones that you are certain are gluten free.  Then introduce different types of foods, one at a time. The results of a gluten-free diet are wonderful and fast for those with Celiac Disease.  I don't have this disease myself, but years ago, I studied this disease in detail to help a patient.  Good luck to you and I hope this helps. It does not contain gluten.  It is plastic. Your child may be ingesting something else, I would have them retested to check

I would be sure your child is not getting food from somewhere that isn't containing Gluten.Get her retested.  Also, Invisalign may not be the best treatment for your child.  Invisalign has limitations and may not be correcting 3 dimensional changes.
