Do I need to get Invisalign before veneers (Photo)

Question

Hello everyone! I went to a cosmetic dentist and asked him about veneers on my 4 front teeth, I had old fillings on those and now they discolored and I can see them through, I wanted to cover those fillings with veneers and also make my teeth look longer, my natural teeth are small and I have a narrow smile. My dentist got all my cavities under control and said that doing veneers on my teeth would be really easy, but recommended orthodontic treatment first to correct the bite.

Hello there,Based on the four photos you provided, along with the information that you've provided, I strongly believe that it is a good idea to correct your bite with Invisalign, prior to placing veneers.  This would give you the best results.  If you are over concerned about the minor discolorations that may currently have, I would suggest temporarily replacing these areas using dental bonding.  Bonding can provide a temporary solution for patients like you who are waiting to get veneers, but need to complete Invisalign treatment first.Good luck with your smile and follow me to ask more questions.

You are a young woman with white teeth that show at least half Incisal on smilingthe discoloured fillings that you mentioned are not that visible you have a slightly reverse smile where the front 2 teeth are shorter you certainly do not need veneers10  with Invisalign you can correct the crowding and even pull back the front2 teeth to look straighter and longer veneers are destructive and not reversible they will need life long care and service I have treated 859 patients over 10 years and not one patient asked for veneers at the end look up the daughter test by Martin kelleher

Giving the teeth the appearance of being straight with veneers is called instant orthodontics. The downside is that it requires more tooth removal to achieve the desired results. The advantage is that it is accomplished  in a very short period of time. Aligning the teeth first with orthodontics results in minimal tooth preparation for the veneers. The downside is that it adds cost and treatment time.
