do you inject botox in a wrinkle or in a raised muscle next to wrincle
Answer: Areas for Botox The potential areas were Botox can be used are the forehead, glabella (between the eyebrows), crow’s feet (around the eyes), angles of the mouth, and neck. Botox is injected into the muscle and works to relax it in order to reduce the appearance of fine lines. It is important to have an advanced injector treat these targeted areas so that you receive the results you desire.

Answer: Botox injection planes The specific technique for injection of Botox depends on the area being treated, but it is always injected into the muscle. Botox is great for softening dynamic wrinkles - meaning those wrinkles which are created by the movement of the muscles of facial expression. Therefore the wrinkle is not injected, but the muscle creating the wrinkle is treated with Botox.

Answer: Botox never goes into the wrinkle itself. Botox is injected into the muscle under the skin. It never goes into the wrinkle itself. We have the patient smile and frown etc... to see where the muscle is moving that is causing the wrinkling of the overlying skin, then we inject into that muscle to partially paralyze it temporarily for 3-4 months. sincerely, David Hansen,MD

Answer: Where is Botox injected? Thank you for the great question. Botox is injected into the muscle that you are trying to weaken, generally in the center or thickest part. For larger muscles, multiple injection sites may be used. As the muscle strength decreases, the pull on the overlying skin decreases. This can lessen the appearance of wrinkles in certain areas of the face -- most notably around the eyes.

Answer: Botox injections Botox is injected into the muscle that is creating the wrinkle. The wrinkle is caused by the movement of the muscle and its pull on your skin. By relaxing the muscle with Botox, you inhibit it from repeatedly causing wrinkling. With time, the wrinkles significantly improve or go away completely. Botox or Dysport has many uses in medicine. Cosmetically it is usually injected into the facial muscles around the eyes to improve wrinkles. It can also be injected for profuse sweating of the arm pits, hands and feet called hyperhidrosis. Botox can also be used to treat spasticity of muscles. It is a great medication and when used properly, incredibly safe with very few complications.Ralph Trey Aquadro, M.D.Auburn, AL
