Vellus Hair In Transplanted Recipient Site.

It can take 6 to 12 months after surgery to see results.  If you are concerned it is best to contact your doctor

It is highly unlikely that a vellus hair will turn into a terminal hair 17 months after a procedure.  While you may see an occasional hair grow 18 months after a procedure, most of the hair will grow by 8 to 12 months.  It is exceedingly uncommon to see new hair growth after 18 months.  The good news is that with sonicated PRP we are seeing up to 80% growth from the grafts at 3 1/2 months.

onyx54,Wish that you provided high resolution before and after pictures. Hair transplants take time to grow out. Sturdies and personal experience show that most growth takes place between 4-12 months post surgery but there can be some further maturation with thickening of results between 12-18 months post hair transplant.All the best, Bernardino A.
