Steroid Injection or surgery? Are steroids dangerous? (photo)

I'm super confused after reading so many conflicting opinions on getting a steroid injection vs surgery. 2 ophthalmologist i recently visited wants me to go for surgery. But I've had chalazions before and got steroid shots and worked like magic with no side effects. Are steroid injections really harmful? Some suggests that it can lead to cataract n glaucoma n stuff. I need some professional honest advice. Help!

Thank you for your question.  Blepharoplasty is commonly done with laser resurfacing. It is best to do both of these procedures together, as you will already have the downtime with your eyelid surgery; the laser resurfacing is improving your results without lengthening your down time....

Yes, it appears that you have a negative canthal tilt as well as a negative vector in your cheek region. It does not appear that you have lower lid retraction as you do not appear to have significant scleral show.

About 10% of people now have allergies to the ointments you are using - Bacitracin and Neomycin.  I would just stop the ointments at this point.  If red and itchy I would ask your doctor to give you just a steroid cream/ointment with no antibiotics.  Infections in the lids are very rare, so th...
