So I got the results of my nose's CT scan, can anyone suggest me the best operation for it?

Question

CT scan PNS Mild mucosal thickening is noted in left maxillary sinus - S/o sinusitis. Bilateral osteomeatal complexes are patent. Nasal septum is mildly deviated with presence of spur on left side. Sphenoid ,right maxillary, bilateral ethmoid and frontal sinuses are clear with no mucosal hypertrophy. Bony walls are intact. Nasopharynx and orbits are grossly normal. That's it! Do I have to worry about something? Do I have something serious? Your expert advice is much appreciated.

This is  just a general answer as I can not answer unless I was to examine you and talk to you. But commonly when i see a CT like that, it is basically normal. What the issue is, you have a deviated septum. Having a septoplasty may improve your breathing but you would need an examination to determine that. James P. Dear dheruaDoctors dont treat Xrays, they treat patients. Sinus Surgery is based on history and physical and Ct scans are supplemental not diagnostic. Without history and physical, you cant get useful  information. In addition, most sinus and nasal surgeons read their own CT scans, as their general radiology colleagues reading and our surgical readings are often done differently because they are read for different purposes.

If you are not having any symptoms then there is nothing to worry about.  I assume you had the scan because of symptoms.  You can only make sense of things by a history of your symptoms, and examination, and correlation with the CT scan.  If all medical measures have been exhausted, then this could be a good case for balloon sinuplasty.  This is just speculative as a complete consultation is required.  Good luck in finding relief.
