I had dermal filler injected into my jaw about a year ago. A recent MRI scan showed that it had gone into my parotid gland. I’ve recently been experiencing burning and tingling on the same side of my face (hence the MRI) but the neurologist ruled out neuropathy. No swelling on the site. Could the burning/ tingling be due to an immune reaction to the filler? if left untreated could it cause an immune/ autoimmune reaction to my salivary glands? Would you suggest dissolving the filler in the gland?
