I had fat graft placed placed in the mid face region but it was botched and overdone. I know fat graft is placed in multiple layers. But would liposuction or mesotherapy work in removing transferred fat (fat graft) to the face if placed in deeper layers like muscle or below? Or is there some other way of removing it?
Answer: Fat removal I would suggest not using mesotheraphy on the face. Even on other parts of the body it often leaves less than desirable results, often with hard knots. I would suggest meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon, being examined, and discussing options.

Answer: Tough one I dont like liposuction in the face because it can damage the nerves. I would likely suggest going through the mouth or a facelift incision and actually under direct vision removing the fat

Answer: Fat liposuction Dear superluke7777, You didn't mention when you had your surgery. If it was recently, then you have an option to wait until you are fully healed as in most cases 30-50% of transferred fat is lost after surgery. In case your surgery was over 6 months ago, then a liposuction might be an option. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Would laser liposuction or mesotherapy work in removing transferred fat (fat graft) to the face if placed in deeper layers? Hello Superluke7777,Fat transfer to the face can be a nice treatment. However, when you don't like the result it is very hard to correct. As you stated, the fat is placed in various layers. Using a fat dissolving agent is not specific and would likely lead to many contour irregularities. Liposuction can only address the fat just below the skin which is only one of the layers the fat is placed into. Continue to follow up with your surgeon, but correction, if possible, would be difficult.I hope that helps and good luck.

Answer: Correcting fat transfer gone wrong I don't think that I would consider having any kind of fat dissolving agents added to your face to get rid of the fat or a real disaster may occur. In most people what is considered botched is the fact that too much fat was placed into the cheeks alone. When fat grafting is done properly to the face, it needs to be balanced out throughout the whole face. You should revisit a plastic surgeon who is well-versed in fat grafting techniques for an evaluation and treatment which produces the best results. I have been performing fat grafting since 1993 with a great deal of success and not a single dissatisfied patient. In the early stages of post recovery some patients are not very happy with the results because they think they're too fat, but that needs to be simply waited out for a few weeks for as long as 6 weeks. I hope this helps and good luck from New York City
