415cc, 9 days post-op. Did I go too small on implant size? (Photo)

Question

I have 415CC gummy silicone and now that the swelling has gone down quit a lot I'm not sure if I'm liking the size. When wen consulted I said I wanted a nice full D and if it went bigger then nice I didn't want an obnoxious size but I did want some noticeable breasts today is my sisters bday dinner and I have my post surgery bra and I just look like I use to wearing a padded bra. Is 415CC and expecting a D not a good size?

From the photos it does not look like your implants are too small. You appear to have a taller, but narrower trunk along with a lower inframammary fold level. The width of your breasts (and implants) is a more limiting factor for your implant size. Larger implants would likely stick out even farther on the sides of your chest creating a more unnatural appearance.

The A,B,C,D concept is useful for an approximation, but plastic surgeons did not invent that scale, and it is better used in bra size. It is way too early to judge your result. YOur pictures have an attractive look. Ultimately, if you are truly unhappy, you can change your size with a different implant. If you do go bigger make it at least 100 cc bigger on each side.All the best,Talmage Raine MD

Congratulations on your breast augmentation. It is far too early to make a judgment about the size of your breast implants.  This early after surgery the implants have not dropped into their final position and the overlying tissues are compressing the implants making them look smaller.  Wait 3 months for the implants to drop into their final position and add volume underneath the nipple areola at which point your breast should look fuller.  Of course follow up closely with your plastic surgeon.  However no Internet consultant can pass judgment that your implants are too small without examining you in person after full recovery.
