Is it true that in the second hair transplant, the growth after the procedure is much slower? 7 years p.o. (photos)

Thanks for the question. If necessary, hair transplant can be repeated 3-4 times depending on the density and the number of the hair follicles on the donor site.
A second hair transplant can be planned in cases of continuing rapid hair loss, with patients who desire a high density of hair, for the purpose of providing a hairy scalp on those sites where no prior transplantation has been done, and for the purpose of correcting the outcome with those patients who have had an unsuccessful hair transplant in some other. I wish you all the best.

It may take six to twelve months to appreciate the results of a hair transplant surgery.  If you are concerned it is best to contact your doctor.  It does not matter if it is the first or second transplant.

Personally I have not heard of slower growth because of a second hair transplant. I am concerned that you have almost no growth at 7 months post op. Did you use a different clinic for your 2nd procedure? I would schedule a physician consultation with the 2nd procedure clinic as well as a third party clinic. This way you can have 2 opinions about your case.

Thank you for posting this question. The reality is that the hairs will grow at the same of very similar rates. I would expect you to see much more hair growth by 7 months. I would make an appointment with your surgeon and go have a look at the “before” pics they took of you, as that can always help to sort  things out. If there is sparse and nearly non-existent growth, such an appearance could also be explained by a failed hair transplant procedure. I hope this information is helpful to you.

At 7 months you should have seen some growth by now, even if this is your 2nd procedure. I would schedule a follow up appointment with your hair restoration clinic. 

in my experince, it takes a bit longer the secind time for the hair to grow in. However, we have been doing PRP with the hair transplant  and it has facilitated the hair growth. 

The growth in a second hair transplant will be at the same rate as the growth in the first transplant
