When it comes to pubic hair transplantation to the scalp, what if the individual is an African American, would that hair consistency work for the scalp? What do these type of procedures normally cost, and are they covered by medical insurance?

Cost of surgery depends on the doctor and type of treatment.  Most doctor would advise against pubic hair as a donor hair source.

HT is an aesthetic surgery so no insurance will cover the price .I do prefer scalp and beard as donor site but not prefer to use pubic hair as a donor site because that may lead to an unpleasant unnatural results on scalp .

The pubic hair is a good donor area provided that the scalp is depleted. The scalp should be the primary donor site and none of this is covered by insurance
