Hello doctors I had a Brazilian butt lift 4 months ago and I noticed the bottom portion of my butt is rather flat also have noticed on the inner part of my buttocks on the bottom where my crack is it has excess fat which points down can this be corrected with another fat transfer
Answer: BBL Candidate? Ideal candidates are at a stable weight, in good health , and have excess fat in some parts of the body and too little in other regions. Gaining weight before the procedure is to no advantage and when you lose weight again the fat cells will shrink just like the donor site fat cells. Typically, the transferred fat results in a significant increase in volume of the body site being treated.

Answer: Can a flat bottom of the butt after BBL be corrected with another fat transfer? Pre and post operative photos (minus clothing) showing frontal, side, and back views would be helpful in making a recommendation. The percentage of fat survival in the BBL the second time should be about the same. Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA

Answer: Can a flat bottom of the butt after a BBL be corrected with another fat transfer? Thank you for your question and photo. Unfortunately, this single view photo you almost sitting with your buttocks on the legs is not very good to give you advice. Photos without underwear showing the buttocks, the back, waist and hips from the back and side would've been helpful for assessment. Buttock augmentation is a technical and artistic procedure. I see what you mean by the flatness and excess fat just below the buttock crack. This needs to be liposuctioned, the bottom needs to be rounded off. In a standing position, viewing the buttock/thigh junction, the two sides should form a diamond shape of light one can see through as viewing the buttocks from the back. The buttock crease should be about a 45 degree angle as it joins the buttock crack medially and laterally should end in the middle of the back of the buttock/thigh junction. This defines a youthful, sexy buttock. It is not enough to add fat, if the surgeon does not have the artistic concept of what a beautiful buttock should look like.Discuss this with your plastic surgeon, and if he/she doesn't get what you are asking in your post, then seek a second opinion from a board certified plastic surgeon experienced in advanced body sculpting techniques. Good luck.

Answer: BBL Revisions This will mostly depend on the original anatomy of the buttocks and the procedure performed. Would discuss this with the operating surgeon.
