I was slim with minimal fat to use, we took fat from the thighs. I ended up with deformities,I brought up my concerns several times to my surgeon each time he would recommend I try velashape or themage. I had another consultation with another surgeon for cellulaze and he told me all dents are a result of overly aggressive liposuction. Would sculptra help? Or any other fillers as I do not have much fat left for fat grafting Thank you
Answer: BBL candidate Ideal candidates are at a stable weight, in good health , and have excess fat in some parts of the body and too little in other regions. Gaining weight before the procedure is to no advantage and when you lose weight again the fat cells will shrink just like the donor site fat cells. Typically, the transferred fat results in a significant increase in volume of the body site being treated.

Answer: I had liposuction 5 years ago as required for a BBL. Sculptra for liposuction dents? You can certainly have fat grafting to improve this, but the liposuction of the other areas needs to be performed by an expert.

Answer: Revision Liposuction It appears revision liposuction would be a better option than temporary fillers which you will need to repeat...especially in that area.Make sure you have a thorough consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who has extensive experience in this procedure. Check her/his experience, credentials, reviews, before and after photos, and have a quality consultation. There are many surgeons including myself who do virtual consultations as well. It is preferred for your surgeon to be member of "American Society of Plastic Surgeons" and ideally member of "American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery". This means they have been evaluated by the society and recognized that the focus of their practice is high volume and quality, honest aesthetic plastic surgery and they adhere to a code of ethics. All my best,

Answer: Sculptra Sculptra is more of a collagen stimulant than a filler. It is great for smoothing out skin but probably not the best for the areas you are describing which resulted from uneven fat removal via liposuction. I'd suggest fat grafting replacing like with like. Oftentime PRP can be combined with fat grafting to improve graft survival.

Answer: Unevenness after liposuction Dear toronto_gorl_17,While there is always a chance for contour irregularities with liposuction, someone who takes their time and uses the appropriate sized cannulas should give you a superb result. I have all my patients wear compression garments and I use multiple sized cannulas to feather out the result. The good news is that it can be fixed and I have done so with good results before. The revision can often be done under local as well.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery
