1 year post tummy tuck - Will a scar revision be enough to lower my scar? (Photos)

Im a 25 year old 5’2, 105 pound female and i had a tummt tuck 1 year ago yesterday. I want to lower my scar to become hidden in low rise bikinis and jeans etc. I’m curious what it would take to lower my scar straighten it out more, and possible thin out the thicker parts. Would a scar revision be enough, or would i need something more invasive? Im happy with my tummy tuck but i can barely hide the scar in the bikinis I LOVE. The last pic shows the whole scar.

Based on these photos, it appears that lowering of the lateral extensions of the abdominoplasty scar would be possible. However, only an in-person evaluation can allow a surgeon to make such a decision. Good luck.

Thank you for the question and photos.  You appear to have an excellent result.  Tummy tuck scars do tend to migrate upward following surgery.  At one year post surgery your scar may continue to improve.  While a scar revision may be able to lower your scar, it will only be a minimal amount, and you would be starting all over with your scar.  I recommend you weight at least six months or more before proceeding with any scar revision.
