The patient will be able to see the final result of fat augmentation to the breasts by about six months.
Five months should be a sufficient amount of time to ascertain your final result from fat grafting. Not all of the fat that is injected survives, and this is why patients need to wait some time after the procedure has been done to see their final results.
Hello. At five months you should be at your final result. When fat is injected you usually lose about 30% of what is injected, and that fat loss will usually occur within the first three months after the procedure. What lasts after the first three months should last for the rest of your life. Jaime Perez, MD Breast Augmentation Specialist Plastic Surgery Center of Tampa
At 5 months following fat transfer to the breasts, you are looking at a fairly stable result. Is there something that concerns you about the result? There may be elements to your particular anatomy or surgery, which may create a different set of circumstances.
By this time you are probably looking at a final result. If there has been some change in the last month I would withdraw that opinion, but usually all of the fat that will not take as a graft will be gone by now. Thanks for the question, best wishes.

At five months, whatever you have now is probably permanent. There may be some residual swelling but usually minimal at this point.
Usually four months after fat transfer to most any part of the body what you have is what you will keep in the final result.
