I'm a little over 10 months post-op on my gynecomastia surgery. I had gland removal. For the most part healing has gone fine, but whenever I move certain ways, put my hands behind my back, or flex, you can see these weird indents, almost like bands of tissue all across my pecs. Is this scar tissue? Swelling? Will it go away on its own or will i need another surgery ? My areola looks weird. Please tell me how it looks to you.

Answer: Creases After Gynecomastia Surgery The creases you have are due to scarring of the underlying tissue. When just the breast tissue is removed the skin will scar down to the vacant site. In virtually all cases of gynecomastia I feel that it's necessary to do liposuction in addition to the excision of tissue. This allows for the skin to redrape so that creases are minimized. Because your skin already has significant memory in the creases it will likely require a combination of procedures to get it right.
