How do you lower eyebrows with Botox?

Question

I asked for my brow to be lowered with botox? I was injected right above the eyebrow, but now the corner is wildly higher? Where should the injections be to lower an eye brow?

Injection in the frontalis (forehead) muscle will lower your brow. It is possible the injection was placed to close to your brow, thereby treating the orbicularis oculi (muscle surrounding your eye) area instead. It sounds like you just need a minor touch-up injection.

To lower the eyebrows, one must inject the frontalis muscle. It is the only muscle which pulls the eyebrows up. This muscle is found above your eyebrows. It sounds like the injection was located at the right place. Perhaps you should wait two for the full effect and see your injector. May be one side has responded better than the other!Good luck. It is difficult to evaluate your individual case without seeing you in person as a patient. Generally speaking, your eye brow arch may be exaggerated post Botox for 2 reasons. 1.) Botox was not injected far enough laterally (towards the outer portion of your eyebrow) to prevent that arch. 2.) Not enough Botox was used to properly relax the muscle (frontalis) which is  used to raise your brows.  This problem can be easily corrected in most cases by adding a few additional units of Botox to the lateral portion of your frontalis muscle.

It's hard to comment on your specific case without evaluating you in person or seeing a photo. Yes, neurotoxins like Botox and Dysport can be used to improve eyebrow asymmetry and to improve the position of the eyebrows. The muscle that needs to be injected is the frontalis.

Injection of neuromodulator (Botox) right above the eyebrow can raise the eyebrow. In fact, this is a common request by many young women as they like to have an open look. To lower the eyebrow, Botox can be injected on forehead muscle (Frontalis muscle) carefully not to cause drooping of eyelids. I suggest you to wait 2 weeks and get treated by an experienced injector.

Hi Abbylucy123, I'm sorry about that. How long ago was this procedure done? Sometimes, one side reacts faster. Human faces are also not perfectly symmetrical. The area is actually sensitive and might cause eyelid droop if correction was attempted. Then again, you can send a photo of the "wildly higher" brow, both at rest and when trying to raise your brows.
