If you have saline implants, you would know if an implant ruptured, as you would loose the saline in the implant and your breast would look much smaller than the other side. It is nearly impossible for a hug to rupture an implant. What is more likely is that the capsule or scar tissue around the implant may have torn a bit from the pressure of the strong hug, and that is what you felt.
Generally, breast implants are pretty durable so it would take more than a hug to rupture one. If your saline implant was ruptured you would easily know because your breast would quickly become flat! The pop you heard was likely the tearing of the scar capsule around the implant.
Implants are very durable and would not rupture from a strong hug. You likely heard/felt scar tissue that tore slightly from the pressure. If you have additional questions or complications, see your surgeon.
The right size for you depends on your goals - but also your chest width, the looseness of your skin and what implants will fit your chest. Only the surgeon who measures you can tell the width of your breast and which high profile implant will fit it. In general - to be a C, you would...

At size 34 D each 100 cc’s of implant corresponds to 1 cup size change. Increasing your implants by an additional 400 cc’s will take you up to a H. It is highly probably that these implants will be too large for your body, your skin will progressively stretch, thin and your breasts will dro...
You will be much bigger than normal. The exact bra size does not exist - as bra sizes vary by manufacturer. Be sure these implants will fit your chest and that you want to be this big.If in doubt, try on sizers again and have your surgeon re-measure your chest width. Best wishes.
I wounder if this irregularity is your implant. I recommend a revisit with your surgeon to determine the cause and treatment. There is very little to do for the first 3-6 month other than to just support the implant in its position. Best Wishes!!
I agree that implants generally look better as time goes on, but they should look fairly good right away. I also think that significant asymmetry is never normal after surgery - assuming that there was no asymmetry before. My guess is that the implant that looks oblong will need a pocket...
