Is there some way to get rid of them? They have always made me super self conscious.
Answer: Facial Contouring with Fillers (Radiesse, Voluma, Bellafill), Sculptra, implants, fat Contouring of the face can be created with well-placed fillers (Voluma, Radiesse, Bellafill) and Sculptra. Implants or fat are alternatives. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert to go over your desired results and recommendations as this picture is hard to evaluate. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Marionette lines correction Hi, thank you for the question. From the picture available its difficult to comment about the problem but it seems like marionette lines. For correction I would recommend combination therapy of botox and filler. Botox will soften the look and filler will give volume to area above and below. I would recommend you to have in person consult with a reputable doctor for further evaluation. Best Regards, Dr. Neel Bector

Answer: Filles in marionnette area The sagging of the skin at the corners of the mouth results from a combination of (1) loss of collagen in the skin (from age and sun exposure) and (2) loss of volume/ fat in the cheek area (from age and weight loss). When the cheeks become deflated over time, the lax skin will fall downward and create a sagging appearance in the lower face. I recommend consulting an expert dermatologic surgeon. You would benefit from injecting filler in the cheek area, skin tightening devices such as radiofrequency, and PRP injections to improve skin elasticity. Best! Dr. Soltani.

Answer: Raised ridges on either side of mouth It is difficult to tell from the photo that you submitted but the fullness or "ridge" seems to be created by excess skin and/or muscle that attaches at the oral commissure. It is possible that the area of fullness could be camouflaged by injecting filler to soften the indentations on each side of the ridge. Proper diagnosis and treatment recommendations can only be made after examination in the office in person. Please select a plastic surgeon board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and preferably a member of the ASAPS (American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons).
