I am a 16 year old athlete with D cups. My breast are hindering me to become successful . My breast are cause me back and neck pain. I want smaller breast, but nothing too drastic. I also don't want a huge scare.
Answer: Ultimate Breast Lift™ I recommend a new technique called The Ultimate Breast Lift™.The breast tissue is reshaped creating upper pole fullness, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. The weight of the breast is transferred to the underlying muscle resulting in immediate pain relief. This technique avoids the ugly vertical scars of the traditional technique, maintains nipple sensation and the ability to breast feed.Your breasts can be slightly reduced if you desire.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Breast reduction Good morning!I am sorry about your issues with your breasts. patients in my waiting room coming for a breast reduction/lift are always amazed that here are women actually trying to make their breasts larger- they are tired of the weight on their back/shoulder neck and the difficulty in sports and clothing choices.Taking your age into account is most certainly a factor when deciding if surgery is right for you. I would recommend a frank discussion first with your parents, then with an experienced board certified plastic surgeon in your area to develop the right treatment plan for you.I hope this helps

Answer: I'm 16 yrs old with D cups. Do you think you could perform the surgery on someone my age? I'm sorry to hear about the physical problems your disproportionately large breasts are causing you. It is probable that you are dealing with juvenile breast hypertrophy along with the physical and (possible) psychosocial consequences of this diagnosis. In other words, the breasts are too large for your frame causing both physical and psychological distress. In my practice, timing of breast reduction surgery is determined on a case-by-case basis. It is not too early to do your homework and learn as much as possible about breast reduction surgery and the potential risks and complications associated with the procedure. Hopefully you have the support of your parents as you do your homework. Unsatisfactory scarring is one of the potential complications. Make sure you also understands that further surgery may be necessary in the future (for example if the breasts were to grow in size again). On the other hand, breast reduction surgery is one of the most patient pleasing operations we perform and I think that for the right teenager (enough symptoms) it may be an excellent option (regardless of the age). Sometimes breast reduction surgery is covered through health insurance. The best way to obtain insurance coverage for breast reduction surgery involves some “hoops” to jump through. The more documentation you have (for example, from your primary care doctor, physical therapist, chiropractor etc.) the better when it comes to obtaining insurance “authorization” for the procedure. This documentation and letter/pictures from your plastic surgeon will help you obtain authorization. When the time is right, seek consultation with well-trained/experienced board-certified plastic surgeons. Best wishes.

Answer: #BreastReduction - 16, D cups. ?surgery In general, breast reduction surgery can be performed on younger patients than would normally be considered for other procedures that plastic surgeons perform (such as liposuction and breast implants). Another procedure that often has a lower average age is rhinoplasty (nose surgery).Whether or not it's right for you is something you'll have to decide and, because of your age, you'll need the assistance of your parents or guardians. There are many things to consider, including the risks of the surgery but, as a rule, breast reduction patients are among the happiest. There is significant relief of symptoms (neck, back and shoulder pain) along with the improved balance of the body, ability to wear different clothes, exercise, self-esteem etc.But as with most surgeries it can not be reversed and so you have to consider it very carefully. And, with your age, it is possible that you could continue to grow (in height) and then possibility your breasts (if they don't also grow) would be more proportional to your body. So there are even more considerations for someone your age.I would suggest that you continue to do research on this procedure (RealSelf is a great place to start) and then visit with several board-certified plastic surgeons in your area to get an idea of what they'd recommend. If at that point you want to proceed with your surgery you can probably do so with the help of one of them.I hope that this helps and good luck,Dr. Alan EnglerMember of RealSelf100
