Implant feeling pulled then stuck: I had a breast augmentation a week ago. (Photos)

Question

I got round textured implants and 350cc. I feel like my implants move towards my sternum and get "stuck." I gently massage where the pressure is and push my breast outward and that helps relieve the pressure but within a few minutes the same thing is happening again. Is this normal?

Thank you for your picture.  The left breast implant may be influenced by your muscle and swelling.  Please allow swelling to subside and the tissues to soften.  This should improve with time.  Best wishes

Thank you for your question.  Having a pulling feeling after breast augmentation is fairly common and happens when your pectoral muscles get activated.  The implants will settle over the next several weeks and you will get used to these sensations.  As always, make sure you keep you follow-up appointments with your plastic surgeon. Take care!

What you describe might be normal. Generally one side is always more tender than the other. At one week you are about 5 percent healed, settled, shaped, softened, dropped and fluffed. At one week, I wouldn't be too concerned.  Textured implants are designed to stay put, so they are naturally going to be more difficult to shift in the pocket.  The mobility will likely improve a bit with time.  I would recommend discussing with your surgeon for recommendations on how to manage.
