I had my lower and upper abs done like 5 days ago. An I am experiencing a lot of pain. Swelling is going down but the pain not. I did take some ibuprofen but now after reading this site looks is not a good idea. What can I do to help with the pain. I am already wearing compression and ice. Anything else I can do?
Answer: Coolsculpting and Ibuprofen--add vanquish, cellutone, zwave, venus legacy, VASER, ThermiRF Ibuprofen should not have any significant effect on your outcome if you use it after Coolsculpting. Oral neurontin can also improve pain. Keep in mind, it will take 3-6 months for final results with Coolsculpting. For best results with Coolsculpting, I recommend a combination approach. I recommend adding radiofrequency treatments like Vanquish, Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra for skin tightening and with Z wave/Cellutone for skin smoothing. VASER with ThermiRF is a great alternative. Answer: Ibupropfen after Coolsculpting Thank you for your question. It is not advisable to take ibuprofen or any NSAID’s after treatment as they tend to thin the blood and increase bruising and swelling. However, ibuprofen or similar medication will not negatively impact your results. I hope this helps!

Answer: Ibupropfen after Coolsculpting Ibuprofen can be taken after Coolsculpting unless you have a significant bruise. You should seek a provider that has the new treatment heads. They are much more comfortable, and almost never bruise. Best Wishes, Maurice Vick

Answer: CoolSculpting and Ibuprofen Yes - you can take Ibuprofen. The first week after your Coolsculpting procedure can be uncomfortable for some patients. It is almost like a 'bruise' feeling in the area that was treated. Were you treated with the Zimmer Z Wave immediately after they pulled the applicator off? We treat all our Coolsculpting patients with the Zimmer Z Wave (called our CoolWave Procedure) and we are seeing patients with less swelling and better overall results. You are doing all the right things however: Wear the compression garment - that will also help with post procedure swelling and take Ibuprofen for pain. You will start to see results about 2 - 3 months after your cycles. And then it will all be worth it! Good luck with everything.

Answer: Pain after Coolsculpting I actually had my lower abs treated with Coolsculpting last week. The bloating and swelling have now resolved, but I do have occasional pain which is easily relieved with Ibuprofen. If you have more severe pain, a sensory nerve may have got caught in the treatment zone. If that happened, I would recommend a short course of Neurontin from your Coolsculpting provider.
