I am about to begin my Accutane course and was wondering how important it is not to drink. Summer break is coming up and that is when I tend to drink a fair amount. I have had several friends who have been on Accutane that drank throughout their entire course. I also rarely drink, its mainly during summer time since I am focusing on school during the fall/spring.

Please see your local dermatologist regarding accutane care but if your acne is bad enough for accutane, then I would not wait for season to change in order to start it. Best regards, Dr. Sapijaszko.
Whether you take Diane 35 or not is up to you and your dermatologist. But if you are a female of child-bearing potential you need to be on 2 forms of birth control anyway if you're taking Accutane. So you might as well make one the Diane 35 that might help you hormonally. "This
