Answer: Dog Ears after TT, 1 year post-op - exercise? Sorry this has happened to you!! This is what is most commonly known as a dogear. What this means is that the tummy tuck scar needed to be longer to remove the extra skin. Liposuction unfortunately will not fix this problem. You would need a revision to this! This is best performed by a plastic surgeon. Good luck!

Answer: Dog ears after tummy tuck Dog ears can occur after tummy tuck due to excess skin/fat at the end of suture line. If your dog ear has excess skin, losing further weight with exercise will not eliminate the dog ear completely. If your dog ear is due to mostly fat, it may require excision or liposuction. Please follow up with your plastic surgeon so that he/she can address your concern.Best regards.

Answer: Dog Ears after TT, 1 year post-op - exercise? True "dog ears" are extra skin that puckers at the end of an incision. There can also be excess fat behind the skin that will decrease with exercise, but the actual loose skin will not improve and needs to be excised. This can usually be done under local in the clinic setting.

Answer: Dog ears after #tummy tuck Dog ears after tummy tuck usually need minor surgery to be removed. It is not uncommon to have dog ears after a tummy tuck, and the revision is often included in the cost of the original tummy tuck surgery. The minor procedure takes about 30 min in the office. Exercise probably won't get rid of the extra tissue, time will tell.
