What can be done for this diagonal line coming from mouth? Is this the start of sagging jowls? Botox, filler?
Answer: Morpheus8, CO2, and a small amount of filler can help reduce the appearance of this line. Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. These lines are caused by one or all of the following: strong muscles around the mouth, loss of mid-face/cheek volume, and sagging skin. Depending on what specifically is causing your lines, I usually recommend a combination of Botox for strong downward muscle motion, RF (radiofrequency) thermal treatments for skin tightening and lift, a touch of filler near the cheek bone for volume and microneedling with delivery of PRP or exosomes to renew the skin. I see beautiful results with this approach.

This is a minimally invasive treatment to help tighten the skin giving you more of a tighter younger looking skin and could help pull back and tighten the line you are concerned about. What is now being done, is to replace the facial volume loss in the mid to upper face. The increased volume in those areas is a more natural way of softening the lines/folds in the lower face.
