Hi there I'm curious about the compression garments each doctor uses and why some have holes over the buttocks and some do not.The one I was put in following surgery does not have holes and I'm a bit nervous this would affect results. Thanks!
Answer: Liposuction Compression garments are a very important part of your liposuction results. These are usually provided by the surgeon as part of your procedure cost. The "holes" are to help you use the restroom after the procedure as you will be sore.

Answer: Compression garment Surgeons vary in their preferences for compression garments so best to follow the post-operative instructions of the plastic surgeon who performs your BBL. I typically ask patients to use adjustable garments with multiple bands so that tension can be adjusted and the areas of liposuction are less likely to get a fluid collection. The garments typically do not cover the buttocks. The key here is the size and the ability to tighten the garment not the brand or make. Answer: Garment Hello. There are many types of garments out there made from different companies like Clear Point Medical, Marena, and Design Veronique but the important thing is to have a garment that is easy for you to use without assistance so that you are able adjust the tension accordingly. Best Regards!

Answer: Compression garments Great question. Every surgeon is different. Some surgeons don't even provide you with garments, and tell you to go find them yourself! I use Marena garments. And they are included for my patients after surgery. I believe my patients appreciate it vs having to go find garments on their own. Marena has a great reputation and one of the better garments specifically made for liposuction and body contouring. The "holes" for the butt are relatively new to the industry as the BBL has become more popular. I don't believe they make a significant difference in the outcome. Marena is starting to make them now, but the price difference is not insignificant. If it really concerns you, you can always order these yourself from Marena directly from their website. If you ask your surgeon, they will likely say it doesn't make much difference. Your activity has more impact than anything. Hope that helps, and best wishes on your recovery!Dr. MoralesABPS Board Certified Plastic SurgeonHouston, Tx
