Implants or fat transfer - Which would be best to permanently thicken lips? (photos)

Thank you for your photos. To improve the area that concerns you I would recommend fat transfer to the area below the lip to smooth out the transition between the lower lip and the chin.

When it comes to cosmetic outcomes it’s generally best to treat the primary problem head-on rather than to camouflage or treat secondary issues.

A chin reduction is the more appropriate procedure and I suggest consulting with local oral surgeons about that procedure.

Augmenting your lips will just give you large lips and deepen the labelemental angle.

Lip augmentation is best done using Fillers. Compared to fat grafting fillers are more precise, predictable and forgiving.

Since the primary goal is not to just have large lips but to camouflage your chin you may want to start with a temporary approach to see if you like the outcome.

My recommendation is to treat the primary problem first which is more likely to give you the result you’re looking for.

Removing previously grafted fat Can be very difficult and sometimes not possible.
