Correction to waterfall deformity - would smaller moderate 200-260cc implants help? (Photo)

Question

I got a breast lift with 360 CC high profile implants under the muscle just over 6 months ago. One of the incisions failed to heal properly and puckered inward under the breast; this was the first issue. The second issue is what seems like waterfall deformity. I started with 34DD very dense heavy breasts with long cleavage. Would smaller moderate 200-260 cc implants help along with revision? I’m conflicted whether to get implants again this time.

Very large and dense breasts never do well with just a lift; tissue needs to be removed. Achieving an optimized shape includes implants, and I wouldn't recommend removing them. In fact, part of the formula may be to both decrease the size of your breast tissue and use larger implants. You would benefit from a breast reduction and lift regardless.

If you were a 34 DD then you did not need implants, just a lift. At this time, I recommend explantation and lift using The Bellesoma Method. The implants are removed, your breast tissue is reshaped creating upper pole fullness, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained if not injured during your previous surgery.

breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery.Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size.While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals.

With starting as DD, you would do much better with just a breast reduction, which includes a lift, to go to a size that fits your frame better and is not so heavy.  The waterfall deformity is from not lifting the breasts.
