How much would chin burring cost and where could I go to get it?

I want to burr down my chin a little a bit because it is quite protruded and gives me a moon like shape at times. However not many plastic surgeons do this type of procedure, so what specialty would I be looking for? Also, how much would this cost, under local anesthesia/sedation? Is there a high chance i could get botched? Thanks

Depending on many things, like any sleep problems, jaw pain, difficulty chewing etc. You may be a candidate for jaw surgery. Although this is a major surgery, it would improve your quality of life and give you the aesthetic look you are going for. If you are only looking for cosmetic treatments, you would qualify for a chin reduction/genioplasty and jawline contouring. One of our most popular procedures is a genioplasty, and we are able to complete them under we call "twilight sleep." You will be sedated, but not deep enough to need to be intubated. You will be breathing on your own, but asleep and unaware of what's going on. It is extremely comfortable and safe. We perform this surgery about once a week at our surgical center. Patients are generally here for 2-2.5 hours before they go home.

With your horizontal chin excess you want a submental approach to your bony chin reduction which can also remove any excess soft tissue chin pad. Attempting to do this intraorally puts you at high risk for soft tissue chin pad ptosis.
