Can a size in a teardrop implant differ from a size from a round implant for example if I got a C in round, would a C in teardrop be slightly smaller. I was thinking teardrop for the more natural look but don't want it to be small. Should I go D instead?
Answer: Breast implants Teardrop shaped implants have been a disaster from day one. Go with round implants to avoid those problems. I don’t even know surgeons who use teardrop shaped. They have all seen the problems

Answer: Size differential When choosing an implant there are many considerations. Volume, type, shape, and style all must be considered. Implant volume is presented in cc's versus cup sizes. A 350cc implant, for example may look very different in someone with a wide breast width versus someone with a narrow base. To help sort this out and get what is right for you it is always best to select implants in person with your surgeon. Many have sample implants you can "try on" to give you an idea of how you may look after surgery. A teardrop implant will provide a more natural look where as a round implant will give you more upper pole fullness.

Answer: Implant Size Difference Thank you for your question about breast implant sizing. Selecting the most appropriate breast implant size for breast augmentation is a personal decision that ultimately you have to make. An in-person consultation with implant sizing is best. It depends on your height, weight and breast base width diameter. To know what might be right for you, see two or more experienced, board-certified Plastic Surgeons for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have breast implant surgery. I hope this helps.

Answer: Size Once placed, most implants are a teardrop shape when standing. I would suggest meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon, being measured and examined, and trying on the range of sizes that best fits your frame and tissue. Then, you can actually see what size you like.

Answer: Implant size Dear poohnany17, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.
