Dear Aimomo,Thank you for your question. In the Honolulu area, prices for breast augmentation range from 7-8k. The cohesive gel breast implants that are commonly called "gummy bear implants", such as the Allergan 410, do cost a bit more. All silicone gel implants are cohesive to some degree nowadays, meaning the gel holds together like a gummy bear. Some implants are like a softer gummy bear consistency while others are more firm. As each patient is different, I encourage you to come in for a consultation so we can discuss your options. Aloha,Shim Ching, MD
Each patient is different and your surgeon should aim to customize your surgery to give you the best possible results. The actual cost can only be determined after you have met with your surgeon, discussed your goals, had a thorough examination and choose which options are best for you. I recommend you meet with a few board certified plastic surgeons in your area who specialize in aesthetic surgery. Get a feel for the surgeon and the practice then choose the one who is the best fit for you. Best of luck!
Thanks for your question. A rough guideline for the cost of gummy bear implants is $7000-8000. Also, the teardrop-shaped implants usually cost more than round gel implants.
Thank you for sharing your excellent question. The general cost for "gummy bear" also called "teardrop" or "shaped" implants is generally from the mid 6,000 up to 8,000 depending on your geographic location, anesthesia costs and operative facility costs. I'd encourage you to meet with a board certified plastic surgeon who has a history of performing numerious breast augmentation procedures with the shaped/teardrop implant. Look for a surgeon who's a member of the ASPS and the ASAPS as well as certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. I hope this has been helpful and wish you all the best. -Brian S. Coan, MD, FACS
Thanks for the question. When it comes to costs of surgery, there may be many “variables” involved. The specific surgeon's credentials/experience level (or lack thereof), the specific geographic area you are looking at, the different operations available, the location of the procedure (quality of surgery facility), type/quality of anesthesia provider, type of breast implants… are some of the potential variables involved. You will find some average costs of surgery on this website and on individual plastic surgeons' websites as well.In regards to outcome of the planned procedure, more important than costs of the procedures will be careful selection of your plastic surgeon. I would suggest starting with the American Society of Plastic Surgery and/or the Aesthetic Society of Plastic Surgery to obtain a list of well experienced board-certified plastic surgeons. Then, I would suggest you visit a few surgeons whose practices concentrate on aesthetic surgery. Ask to SEE lots of examples of their work AND preferably speak/see patients who have had similar procedures done.Be very careful with your decision-making. You will find, while doing your due diligence, that there are many different “specialties” who will offer their services to you; again, I strongly recommend you concentrate on surgeons certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. I would also suggest that you do not base your selection of plastic surgeon primarily on costs of surgery; keep in mind that revisionary surgery may be more costly in many ways. I hope this, and the attached link, helps. Best wishes.
Hi Melissa,I can't really say without more information. But from what you said, I would try to include pictures in your discussion and decision with your PS. First and foremost the implant should fit the dimensions of your breast and tissue cover. Here are a few tips for you because this...
For an 18 y/o with no pregnancies to stretch your breasts, they look normal for 11 days. They are full above the nipple because of muscle swelling and they are triangular below the nipple because the skin has not stretched yet. In 6-12 weeks they will be great. Good luck.
This is very rare and is not implant specific.so no there are not a large number of cases with McGhan textured implants. The risk is very very minimal.go for it.
