1 day post op subglandular Breast Augmentation, how much the size will reduce once swelling has gone down?

Generally, I tell patients that immediately post surgery to expect one cup size of swelling, so it is possible that when the swelling goes down, you'll find that your size is a little bit smaller than you expected. I hope it's not, but that sometimes happens. Good luck!

Thanks for your question.  There is not reliable way to predict your final size because everyone swells to a different extent after surgery.  After several months you will have a better sense of the final size.

Unfortunately, there is no consistent way to predict how much swelling any patient will get, or how much swelling will go down over a period of time after surgery for any given patient. Essentially, you will need to wait several weeks to a few months to see your final outcome. Continue to follow your surgeon's recommendations to assist you in this process. Sorry! There is no formula for calculating how much swelling you've got or how different your size might be in a few days or weeks.You can be sure you will look different at 2-3 weeks post-op and probably different still at 6 weeks.I hope you have a smooth recovery and are very pleased with your results!
