What is Derma Veil?

Question

I am interested in doing Derma Veil. My doctor says it is FDA approved but I can't find any information on it. It is a Polylactic acid substance. I'm having a hard time finding information on this procedure. Any information would be helpful thanks.

DermaVeil is not yet approved by the FDA per my knowledge. I am a big fan of Sculptra which is a collagen stimulating filler that has been used for years in the US safely.

DermaVeil is similar to Sculptra and available in other countries. I cannot find information that the FDA has yet fully approved it, though it is registered. Personally, having used Sculptra many years ago and followed its use over the years, I quit using it and believe there are many other products that are far superior as they provide immediate results and last as long or longer. I would, therefore, suggest you use one of these products like the Juvederm family of fillers. Juvederm Voluma can provide immediate fill of the cheeks and other areas and I have seen it last for over 4 years, though its usual persistence is somewhat over 2 years, which is how long Sculptra lasts.
