I’m in my 5th day after BBL, but already regretting it so much.Is there any chance my hips would go smaller? I was always slim, model type of body ,with no fat on hips, just recently gained some fat on my waist and wanted to opt for the bbl to slimmer my waist and enhance my butt. heard people say that my 1st day post op and 2nd is the closest to the final result. ( I didn’t like it either) I’ll try to sleep on my sides so they would eventually become smaller, and work out later after 4-6 weeks.
Answer: It's way to soon! You have to be patient and trust the process. For the first few weeks there will be much swelling due to the trauma of the surgery. It is safe to say that you will not start to see your final results till 3-6 months. As with most fat grafts up to 40% may be reabsorbed into your body. By 6 months you could see up to 30% reduction in volume, a combination of fluid, inflammation and reabsorbed fat cells.

Answer: Brazilian butt lift results Thank you for your question. Healing after plastic surgery is a process and the earlier parts are the most challenging. Emotions are a big part of the process as well. You are still in the early stage of healing. Aftera brazilian butt lift surgery there is a predictable swelling process that mostly resolves over two months, when the final result really settles in.

Answer: BBL results Dear Eeellx_,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a BBL surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides you will be able to see the final result of your surgery.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon
