Can fat transfer initially take to an area, but then fail years later? I am wondering if a successful fat transfer to the butt can be damaged, causing the fat to die years later. For example, if someone had a successful fat transfer to the butt, then years later they fell on the area, or had trauma to a surrounding area, could the fat disappear and die? It's been 7 years since my BBL and it took successfully, will thigh lipo under the butt likely agitate the transferred fat, causing it to die?

Hello and thank you for your question! While it is not abnormal to still have some post-operative pain at this point, these concerns need to be discussed with your surgeon. At this point the pain should be easily managed with analgesics and should be decreasing each day.Good luck!
Hi,
Will need to compare it to old pictures to know the cause. Most likely to be cellulite that got worse with the fat transfer. Less likely to be caused by the surgery itself. Your surgeon should be able to tell the difference. However, this can be treated.
