I think that would be extremely rare and really there is no cause for this as I cant imagine a situation that there was enough of a bleed in the pocket
It is unlikely to cause capsular contracture. It is also too early for capsular contracture. You should see your PS for a review. All the best.
Take it easy, there! It should not cause a capsule but could traumatize the healing. You need to be aware of any soreness, swelling, redness or pain. If you have those symptoms, then you should see your plastic surgeon and explain exactly what happened.
While the superficial bruise from a "hickey" most likely won't affect the capsule, the one thing that I would think about is whether there is any increased swelling or soreness in the breast itself. If the breast was handled roughly that soon after surgery, the capsule could still be damaged or torn, and this could lead to some bleeding into the capsule which could then stimulate capsule contracture. If there is any soreness of the breast or firmness, it is best to have it checked by your surgeon.
Hello, If the mark you have is definitely from suction then it's hard to see how you could develop a contracture - I think you can relax! But, just be sure that you are not mistaking it for some other deeper problem ie something coming up from deep rather than a skin mark from a partner. If in doubt, check it out! Best Wishes
There is no possibly that this type of activity could cause a capsular contracture. It is also unlikely that you would develop a capsular contracture this early In your post operative course.
Interesting question. No you won't get capsular contracture from a hickey. Regards, Dr Kevin Ho
Thank you for the unusual question. A superficial bruise (hickey) will not cause capsular contracture. Best wishes.
Hi, Although we're not certain as to precisely what causes capsular contracture, we think some patients form more dense fibrous tissue than others. The recognized triggers for forming even more fibrous tissue than usual include silicone gel leakage, infection and haematoma formation. I don't recall vigorous oral manipulation of the breast being included in the list of causes of capsular contracture. I don't think you need to worry about the hickey.
It would be very unlikely for a "hickey" to cause a breast capsular contracture, especially if it has been seven weeks since your breast augmentation. However, if you are concerned check with your surgeon. Best wishes.
It doesn't sound worrying but the best thing is to have your surgeon take a look at it. They should be able to reassure you.

Thank you for your question. You are eligible for breast augmentation with your condition. However, you will need a cardiologist and anesthesiologist clearance to under go surgery. I would advise you to schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon for a detailed examination to...
