So now in my 30’s, I’ve had multiple BA’s with diff surgeons. 3rd time lucky, I’ve found the most amazing PS (Dr McManamny)! He actually cares about the end result as much as me. Wish I’d met him when I got implants the first time at 19yoa ..would’ve saved me all the stress that I went through then..hmmm. Because of my implant history I need extra implant support to stop bottoming out risk which is higher for me. Had surgery a few days ago to add Internal Stitches to help support my implants and to strengthen my infra-mammary fold. Also increased my implant size and changed Profile to high (see below) to balance my asymmetry. Doug changed placement from complete sub muscular to Dual Plane and released muscle more to reduce muscle animation. Before surgery Doug was like “I want you to look your best!” and that was music to my ears.. in my previous experiences, other surgeons were not as caring and are quick to dismiss you, but Doug listens and is truly genuine. See below stats: 175cm, 60kg Old Bra size: 10AA / A BWD: 12.5cm *New bra size: Was previously a full 10D/DD now comfortably in a 12D. So I didn’t change my bra size much just made it fill out more and slightly fuller cup. (Previous implants were: 300/350cc mp+) *CURRENT implant info 350/425cc: L: 350mp+ (12.5cm wide x 3.9 projection) R: 425cc high profile (12.5cm wide x 5cm projection) Mentor rounds, silicone Most of the work done was internal but i can definitely notice a difference myself. They are slightly more lifted / supported and also fuller in size. I didn’t want to go too much bigger, I just wanted to fill out all bras better and also the high profile implant placed on right side balances my asymmetry issue I have. Doug is a perfectionist and has given me my confidence back :)
Ladies u must see Dr Douglas Mcmanamny before u decide on ur surgeon. He gave me the most natural looking breasts.. no one can tell they are fake. They sit perfectly natural. His bedside manner is the best and his attention to detail is five star..u get the results u want with this surgeon. I got my nose done first with him then my breast impants. I am would not put my trust anyone else's hands !
Have done tons of research and finally starting a review of my own :) will be having my breast aug in October 2017. Firstly, here are my stats (this is what I’d always look for in a review first)… ** STATS ** Height: 175cm / 5’9” Weight: 59kg / 130 pounds BRA: 10A Aus / 32A USA / 32B UK size BWD: 12.5cm Bust: 31” Under Bust / ribcage: 28” Waist: 26” Hips: 35” Age: early 30s…… ;) Btw I’ve had implants before… during my 20s. But currently implant free (removed them a few years ago). At the time, I needed a revision, but decided to remove them instead with a ‘Maybe’ plan to replace them in the future.. Why? well I wanted to try fall pregnant again and breastfeed (without my implants). I also wanted a chance for my skin and body to heal before replacing them in the future. There was a brief moment when I thought I wouldn’t get implants again, but after my second child... everything changed. Hope that doesn’t come across the wrong way though.. I wouldn’t change a thing and glad I was able to breastfeed as long as I did. Now I feel like it’s my turn to feel good about myself again. I can accept all my other ‘flaws’, I’m (mostly) ok with them :) but my boobs … another story. I just can’t accept how I look naked and out of proportion to rest of my body. So of course, I am over the moon to be able to have this BA. Right now, I have deflated A cup breasts… excess skin…. Asymmetry (this bothers me the most). Regular bras don’t sit right on me, I miss wearing them…. Very padded sport bras are my best friend lately. For me, having a BA is something that will help me feel more womanly and confident in my clothes again (and out of them..lol). When I used to have implants, I looked more curvy, which I really liked. This time I want to get wider implants, as my previous ones were too narrow on me.. hoping for some better cleavage. So excited… but nervous at the same time :) Updated on 23 Sep 2017: I don’t know how to backdate this post, but I actually had first consult back in June 2017. I was Super impressed with Dr Douglas McManamny – he was so thorough and we talked about all the options that would work best for me. He is a great listener and didn’t dismiss any of my concerns (I was full of questions lol). It was great to meet a PS with a calm and gentle nature ….so I instantly felt very comfortable with him. Beforehand I was nervous as I don’t let anyone see me undressed (not even my husband), but Dr McManamny is incredibly professional and made me feel at ease. He took dozens of measurements and then showed me a diagram of my breasts: he worked out from there how many cc’s my breast asymmetry difference was. Doug is a Specialist Plastic Surgeon (with 30 yrs exp), he is experienced with complex breast surgery (esp tuberous and asymmetrical breasts, so his past work shows that he is great at transforming complex breast types). THIS is why I chose him. –>> .. I liked that we also talked about other ways to improve my BA result.. He said he could do a scar revision to improve an old ugly scar I have from past/previous breast surgery (different surgeon). Also talked about using Alloderm Dermal Graft to help where I need extra support and control (esp left breast which is my troublesome breast). So this isn't a standard breast aug... extra work required, but I'm confident that things will look better after this surgery. Here is a summary…………. *SIZE & BWD: Will most likely get Moderate Profile (L: 250cc / R: 300cc) – different sizes for asymmetry. Though might go with a bigger size in Moderate Plus profile, in same width. Only have 1 chance to get this right and am scared of making the wrong choice (I know I'm not alone in this minor dilemma lol it seems all us ladies on realself are trying to work out the same thing)! I’ll update on this after I decide at my final pre op appointment. *DERMAL GRAFT: ‘Alloderm’ Dermal Graft to be used to help support implant / pocket. *SCAR REVISION + Removing old scars from my previous breast surgery years ago (from a different surgeon). + Also removing some excess skin from my left side. Updated on 2 Oct 2017: Ok so after looking at so many breast aug pics... I have my fave WISH PICS to show my PS tomorrow at my Pre Op appt. I am getting real excited now because it seemed so far away on my calendar earlier this year, and now it's all happening. YAY... I'll be deciding on my implant size/type tomorrow. I have a Double Wish Pic attached too ;) i know I'll never look like this btw, but one can only dream! I have been set on the idea of implants around 300cc size (Moderate profile), but if I want more cc's I have to go up to around 375cc Moderate Plus profile. Any size in between that, might not fit my BWD properly and will widen my cleavage gap. Decisions! Decisions! Will make up my mind by tomorrow i hope. Even though I'm tall 5'9", I actually have a small ribcage and under bust measurement. I wear a 10A bra (if that) so need to make sure i choose something to suit my frame. Dr Gary Horndeski wrote this and I think it's pretty spot on: if you wear an 8/10 bra size (30/32) then every 200cc will add 2 cup sizes. But if you wear a 12/14 bra size (34/36) then every 200cc will add 1 cup size. I'll see how the sizers look tomorrow and decide what looks better! Updated on 3 Oct 2017: Had my Pre-op appt today! Decided on final size. At first I wanted something very conservative and thought I'd get L: 250cc / r: 300cc in a Moderate profile, low projection. but I have practically NO breast tissue on my right side ..........so after trying on sizers I realised I needed to go up in cc and increase profile . Don't want huge so this is the in-between option. Going with: Moderate Plus, L: 300cc / R: 350cc Implants are 12.0cm and 12.5cm width. My BWD is 12.5cm so this fits me perfectly! Glad I had so many months to think about my choice. Had I had surgery sooner / months ago, I would've been nervous about going too big and chose the wrong size. So I'm confident this is right decision for me. Two weeks to go! Counting down Updated on 3 Oct 2017: Dr McManamny measured me again today. He went over all the surgery details: **Dual plane breast aug **Scar revision of my old scars I have (past surgery). **Adding Alloderm Dermal Graft for extra pocket support/control. **Additional work to help lift my nipple position a bit (left side hangs lowers by 1-1.5cm). **IMPLANT INFO: Moderate Plus, L: 300cc, R: 350cc. Updated on 7 Oct 2017: another wish pic I found. Just over a week to go now.. Updated on 15 Oct 2017: Here's my final 'before' pics! Last post until surgery day. It's come around so quickly..... will post some post op pics soon :) Updated on 24 Oct 2017: I made it! I thought I'd be in worse pain but have managed just fine and stopped Endone after 2 days post op. I'm glad I stayed overnight in hospital as Day 1 was worst, but Day 7 I feel awesome..so surprised at how quickly week has gone. Now I can't stop looking at my new girls and checking on them lol. Whereas Before BA, i honestly would get dressed straight out of a shower and never looked in the long mirror .. But NOW I feel really good about myself that I look more womanly and in proportion :) Thanks so much to the plastic surgeon who made it happen... Dr Doug McManamny is incredibly skilled and professional, and I look beyond what I thought could even be achieved, (considering the state of my pre-op boobs) ! I'm glad I met him and that he could make this positive change / transformation for me.. Updated on 24 Oct 2017: Boy am I lucky I didn't pick my original smaller size option! If you're deciding between implant sizes that are 50-70cc bigger or smaller, go for the bigger option of what you like. You won't regret it. It sounds like a lot on paper, but once under the muscle they are compressed so don't be scared of the numbers. It's amazing how quickly you get used to having boobs.........! I initially thought I'd get 250cc lower profile for a super natural look but glad I didn't. The 300/350cc size is nice without being over the top. I could easily have gone up at least 50cc but still happy with size anyway as I fit the 10D bra size I wanted. :) 10D / 32D is also equivalent of 12C / 34C, as once you go up band size you decrease cup size (and vice versa) SURGERY: 2.5hours in surgery! My previous BA's took less than 1hr so that says a lot about how Meticulous Doug is! For my asymmetry and uneven breast position, Dr McManamny placed 'Internal Stitches' around my left nipple to help LIFT it higher in line with right side. Previously my left nipple was hanging 1.5cm lower, so he fixed this. I didn't even know this was possible without a full lift! Genius. Previous surgeons never suggested this to me as an option so I'm glad he could do this for me. I had lots of Scar Tissue on my right side from past BA so I have more swelling that side and it'll take longer to drop. Dermal Graft was also placed under implants to help support them as I had past bottoming out issues years ago (with different surgeons). MORNING BOOB: So many realselfers talk about this and I didn't know what it was. First thing in morning boobs feel most sore and tight.. almost like feeling of 'engorged boobs' during breastfeeding. But this feeling went away for me after day 5 or 6. STATS (update): 5'9" / 175cm 59/60 kg. / 130 lbs. BWD: 12.5cm Pre op BRA: 10A Aus. / 32A US/UK Post op BRA: 10D Aus / 32D US/UK BUST: pre-op 31", now 35" post op Under bust ribcage: 28" WAIST: 26" HIPS: 35" Updated on 30 Oct 2017: Only 2 weeks post op.. I wish I was more patient lol, I can't wait till they drop and fluff. Updated on 6 Nov 2017: I got my measuring tape out today and couldn't believe I am actually measuring 1 whole inch smaller in my waist, hips and pretty much everywhere, and weigh less too. No explanation for it.. or does surgery and all the medication they put u on affect this? Has anyone else noticed weight loss after a BA? Here is another progress pic too- I am 3 weeks post op today :) finally filling out my old crop bra again Updated on 8 Nov 2017: I think I might even be a 10DD by the time I drop and fluff... they're starting to fill out my old bra already :) old bra from when I had previous implants and weighed more then too Updated on 16 Nov 2017: They're really getting softer now.. been doing daily pec muscle stretches as PS advised, and have been doing massage too. Thought I'd upload a progress pic to remind myself where I started. But I can't help but feel like I should've gone with bigger implant size...... Updated on 20 Nov 2017: Nice to be able to throw on any kind of crop top now and not think about it . Does my cleavage look ok, or do most girls have gap like this?
From my initial consult with Mr Mcmanamny office I knew I was on a winner – I have throroughly researched my breast augmentation and decided I would go with three doctors – I was also referred by a dear friend whom I saw he has done a great job My whole experience was just magical – Doug is a true gentleman and professional – His first initial consult was informative and found he wasn’t trying to sell the service like the other two doctors – He treated the experience with dignity and respect and his nurse Nicole was also just a dream – The difference with the experience was they wanted to know me as a person rather than a transaction He is defintately up the higher end of the price scale and I totally understand this factor when I was deciding but after finalising all three consultations – I bought the Mercedes Benz of breasts and I will be ever greatful to Doug , Nicole and all the staff – My result is just so amazing, his choice of using Masada Hospital was also a testament to his work In One word if its quality you want GO see Doug – If you have questions send me an email Dannii xx
I'm 20 years old, and have been unhappy with my breasts for as long as I can remember! I have small breasts 12a cup, that are slightly tuberous and have some asymmetry. So after a lot of research and saving, I'm going to be taking the plunge and getting breast augmentation. My surgery date is on the 24th of November, with Dr Douglas McManamny of Cosmetic Surgery for Women located in Hawthorn East, outside of Melbourne, Australia. This site has been massively helpful in answering so many questions and soothing so many fears surrounding my decision to undertake surgery, so i will do my best to document my experience well, as to help others on their journeys too. Updated on 26 Oct 2016: So these are the girls before, Tuberous with puffy areola's. Hoping for some big changes! Updated on 26 Oct 2016: So my first consultation was on the 31st of August. I called up on the 26th of August asking about appointments, not realising how busy Dr McManamny was, and there was nothing available until late September. Then I get a call back from the lovely Michelle from the office and she has found me a spot from a cancellation and could fit me in the very next Wednesday, I was ecstatic! Updated on 26 Oct 2016: So consultation day comes around, and I'm a bit nervous, but I get to the office (which is so pretty by the way, gorgeous little building) and the ladies behind the counter made me feel super comfortable, offered me a coffee and took my details. The consult itself first consisted of a discussion surrounding my current health and what I was after, to make sure I was a suitable candidate. Following that Doug took my measurements, which i thought would be awkward or uncomfortable for me (I'm pretty self-conscious), but was completely fine and was explained as it was happening. After that some 'before photos' were taken, and then the big discussion on what he could do and what he believed would achieve good results. We decided on 350cc, smooth round, silicone implants (i'm after a full C, small D) and a periareolar incision, so he could also do a slight lift on my right side to get my nipples level. He also went through what would need to be done to correct the tuberousness, scoring the tissue and releasing the constricting band, that causes the cone shape. He explained everything about the surgery, risks, benefits, process, and once I was happy that I had all the information I needed, he took me to me meet Nicole his practice nurse, to run through some information with me. I didn't feel rushed at all which was fantastic! Nicole was really great! She showed me different types of implants, and even showed me examples of ruptured ones, and ran through what happens if an implant breaks, she explained everything so thoroughly which was fantastic and really calmed my nerves. She then showed me some before and after a of other patients and how there scarring turned out and drew me up a quote to take home. The consultation in total was really decent in length, they wanted to make sure I had all the information and didn't leave confused and they definitely achieved that. As I walked out of the office from meeting Doug, Nicole and the ladies in the office, I knew that I wanted them to handle my surgery! Price for first consult was $200, paid at booking. Updated on 26 Oct 2016: So, unsurprisingly, I said yes to Cosmetic Surgery for Women and Dr Doug McManamny handling my breast augmentation! So I called up and locked it in! And booked my pre-op consult for the 26th of October (had to have it earlier than the usual 2 weeks because I have university exams). So went into my second consultation, and Doug had just been back from a Plastic Surgery Convention, where he picked up some great new techniques from some international surgeons, and one he thought would be great for me. So he suggested that rather than doing the periarolar mastopexy, we do a dual-plane implant placement, with the inframammory incision and internal sutures for the lift on my right side, as well as some light liposuction of areola to reduce puffiness. That meant no nipple scar, which was absolute music to my ears! He ran through the difference between surgeries, and I felt confident that this was a good way to go. After that he took some final measurements, to just confirm again his game plan, and he said that we would need to use about 50cc difference in implants to correct asymmetry. So once we were both happy there, he took me to see Nicole to try some sizers and run through surgery info and post op care. Nicole took me to try a crop top with gel insert sizers, and 300 on the left and 350 on the right looked great! Then she gave me a cute little post-op box, which had over the counter medications and supplements and peppermint tea, everything to make my recovery more comfortable! Once everything was finalised, I headed off, the next time I see Doug will be surgery day! About 4 weeks away at this point, and I am so excited! Updated on 26 Oct 2016: Updated on 24 Nov 2016: So surgery day was yesterday, at Masada Private Hospital in St Kilda East. Great hospital, staff were all super friendly. Admission time was 7am, so after a 4.30am wake up, I was tired, makeup free, but ready to go. I had nurses and my anaesthetist come in and run through a big list of questions with me. Make sure that I was feeling good and didn't have any questions of my own. I was meant to be second cab off the rank for surgery, but ended up being first. Doug came in to mark me up, and give me another run down as to his plan, and after that it wasn't long until I was taken into theatre and was laying on the table. I remember chatting away with my my anaesthetist Michelle and nurse Ebony. Then suddenly I woke after what I thought was a moment of closing my eyes, and I was all done! I've never been under general anaesthetic before, and when I woke up, I felt giddy and jokey. Apparently my heart rate was a little elevated, so they kept me in recovery for an extra bit of time before wheeling me back to my room. The giddy feeling gradually came down, and I remember feeling a bit emotional, but mostly fine. My pain was very minimal initially. After a little while I did end up feeling quite a bit of nausea and pain, and when the codeine wouldn't budge it, they gave me something stronger and that after about an hour or so disappeared completely. I felt like I was well enough to go whilst laying down, but each time I got up, I kept feeling waves of nausea, so I was given some anti-nausea medication, and that finally went away, so by around 3.30pm, I felt great and ready to discharge. Updated on 24 Nov 2016: So it's super strange having these in, the best way to describe it, is feeling like you have a push up bra on that feels a bit too tight, but turns out they're actual boobs! As of yet I can't feel much on the lower parts of the breast, and their is quite a bit of bruising, particularly on the right side which had the internal lift. At the moment I'm just fitted with a black crop top, and when I slip it down to look at them, I already love how much rounder they are, they actually look like normal breasts! Doug is a god send! Depending on each time I look at them, sometimes they seem small, and sometimes they decent sized. I never wanted to go huge, so I'm hoping I'll be happy with the end result. But I need to remember not to even think about their size until they are settled and do the whole 'drop and fluff' thing. For me, the strangest thing of the whole experience, is that I just felt so relaxed about the whole thing, normally I am a complete stress head, but I felt really prepared and I trusted the people around me to do a great job, so that was a great feeling. Next Thursday I have my 1 week post op appointment, where I get fitted with a sports bra, so that should be good! Updated on 25 Nov 2016: So, just as so many people have written on here, morning boob is most definitely a thing! I've been waking up super early, and not getting much sleep so far, this whole back sleeping thing is definitely not my favourite. I've been continuing to take my pain meds and supplements from my rapid recovery pack that I was given before surgery, and overall I think things are going well. I was able to shower pretty much unassisted today, just very slowly and carefully. The girls seem big today, I swear each time I look at them, they seem different, still no real sensation on the breasts, and am starting to develop more bruising between them and up to my collar bone. Feeling super bloated, so wish that would go away. I feel like things could be much worse though, I think I am recovering well so far :) Updated on 29 Nov 2016: My incisions have been a little bit sore the past few days, which I hadn't experienced early on. And I'm gaining a tiny bit of feeling back on certain parts of my breasts, so maybe that all just comes with that. They still feel heavy, and sleeping on my back is killing me. But I love them and their shape so much, and am super happy with my decision to get this done. Tomorrow is my 1 week post op appointment, so I'm looking forward to that and having a look under the dressings, to see how the incisions are healing. I'll write an update and post some photos then! Updated on 3 Dec 2016: On Thursday I had my 1 week post op appointment at the Plastic Surgeon's office. This was really my first big outing since the op, so I was a bit slow walking around initially and a few bumps on the train felt a little uncomfortable, but once I was used to it, it wasn't really too uncomfortable at all. At the appointment, I first went and saw Nicole who looked over the new additions, then removed the dressings and cleaned them. I was nervous to see the incisions for the first time, but they were healing really well, and seemed nicely put together (thank goodness!). She then simply put tape strips over them, which will need to be changed once or twice a week so I can wash the incisions. After this I was fitted with my sports bra, I get two berlei bras to wear (no extra cost), in black and white, and I'll live in these for the next 8 weeks whilst my breasts heal and take shape. They aren't really as comfortable as the crop top, but are definitely a lot more supportive in regards to moving around and bending over to pick things up. The band sits in an unfortunate position that rubs the incisions a little, but that just means I need to adjust it every now and then. I also got given little bag with a no-soap body wash for cleaning the incisions, extra tape, post op care booklet, and even a gift voucher for a skin treatment at the clinic, which I thought was so cute! Dr McManamny, came in after a while and checked over them as well, and happy with the outcome, and as I didn't have any questions as the time, continued on his way. The appointment overall, went well, but I did forget to ask about massaging the implants, which another booklet I have, says I need to do. So I'll probably call them next week for more info on that. Also, I'm starting to lay a little on my side, not completely, but sort of propped against pillows, gives me a bit of relief from being on my back all the time! Until next time! Updated on 3 Dec 2016:
I was always big busted, DD bra size, 2 kids later my breasts were stretched to the max and were sagging and flat. After having my last child I could'nt wait to have the surgery, I had a lift and excess skin removed. it was the best decision I made and have never looked back! I also have laser, fillers and botox at the clinic.
I felt the distance between my upper lip and nose was too long and aged my appearance. I also thought a lip lift would be a proactive approach to ageing. I also wanted a more volumous upper lip I barely researched enough to prepare myself for what post-op expectations would be. I had a consultation with the surgeon and hadn't prepared any detailed questions. He vaguely and verbally dot pointed what I should expect after the op. "Day 1, 2 and 3 you should expect swelling in lip, by day 4 most of the swelling should subside, day 5 is relatively when you can see results day 6 we get your stitches out day 7 you can go back to work. It's day 7 now and I feel inconsolable. He did not take the conservative approach as I've been reading about most doctors that do. I definitely feel as though he's excised too much skin, my upper lip barely has a difference in volume and just sits really high. I can't rest my lips together without wrinkling my chin up. I feel like I have a cleft lip. My nose feels really big too. I know it night be swelling but what if it's also a combination of it not being that swollen but may just look bigger because of the proportions of my little upper lip and short philtrum? When will my nose be back to normal? When will my lip drop? If it does drop, how many mm can I expect it to drop? I appreciate all of your messages Please help me, I cannot see the light. Updated on 29 Oct 2015: Firstly I want to apologise for my overreaction. My expectations of the downtime were not realistic which is my fault first and foremost. After the fifth day I think I expected to look like a supermodel... I can say now after two weeks I am happy with the results. Really really happy. I'm embarrassed to write this but I didn't want to deter anybody from the surgery and I also definitely didn't want to defame my surgeon. He did a fantastic job. I was not in the right frame of mind after the surgery, I text my surgeon at 2am the following night to which he and his nurse called back seconds later in an attempt to calm me. These are things your surgeon may or may not tell you but please take note: Downtime is NOT one week. It is more like 2 weeks. Swelling is a [RS bleep] and goes away very slowly. The swelling distorts your face so don't freak out like I did. My nose was very wide and pulled down almost a little piggish... But like you all tried to tell me, it does actually get better. Again I want to apologise for my previous review, perhaps in future for any of you who do have the procedure and feel a little down, you can compare both my reviews to put things into perspective. My top lip has definitely dropped and I'm glad he didn't take the conservative approach. I wish I believed you guys when you said MY LIP WOULD DROP!!!
I went to a consultation with Dr McManamny. Unfortunately, I have been unable to have the procedure as yet due to costs and buying a new house, however, I have done my research and after consulting with him, I found him to be fantastic and I would highly recommend him. He was very lovely and extremely honest. I found him to be very genuine too. I found that with other plastic surgeons (I have consulted a fair number as this is not something I take lightly), I felt pressured and almost ripped off. It felt as though Dr McManamny became a surgeon as he enjoys working in the field; as opposed to wanting to make a lot of money. I hope I can have my surgery with him soon. I researched online and there isn't a lot about Dr McManamny, but from what I have read and from word of mouth, I have heard nothing but great things.
This is an excellent question. A separation of the abdominal rectus muscles can produce the symptoms you have described and more. It is possible to repair the muscle separation using very short scars and endoscopic techniques if there is no skin excess. Photographs, however, would be very helpful to be posted with this question as not all patients are good candidates for that approach. Hope this helps and all the best.
Thanks for sharing your question. Six years after a breast reduction your healing will be complete and the result should be stable. It is quite likely that your lump isn't related to your breast reduction surgery. I suggest you see your family doctor as soon as possible to sort out this new problem.
Thank you for your question. There is a little asymmetry of breast shape present (no one's breasts are perfectly symmetrical). The base of your right breast appears a bit tighter than the base of your left breast. This might qualify as a very mild example of tuberous breast change, but it's really borderline. If the appearance of your breasts is really bothering you, it may be worthwhile seeing a Specialist Plastic Surgeon with a particular interest in Tuberous Breast surgery. Dr McManamny
Thank you for your question and sending in your photos. There are a few possible reasons for the bulge. The reason you should exclude at this point in time is a collection of fluid called a seroma beneath your abdominal skin flap. People usually have an ultrasound to assess this. If there is a collection there it can be drained. Other possible reasons include muscle weakness and fluid within the abdominal wall fat. These can usually be dealt with conservatively. I'd go back to my Plastic Surgeon and ask if she's sure you haven't got a seroma. Dr Douglas McManamny
It sounds like you’re planning reasonably extensive surgery. Facial rejuvenation surgery is one of the more complex operations that Plastic Surgeons perform. Even in the best of hands, revision procedures may be required. If you have surgery overseas you are increasing risks with regard to a satisfactory outcome. You may be quite happy with your result after the surgery is over but if not, you will be in a more difficult position than if you have surgery locally. It’s important to carefully think all possibilities through before you make your final decision. If revision surgery is required following an operation overseas, it may be hard to organize. A short term gain may in the long run turn out to be linked with a disappointing result. Dr Douglas McManamny
