Hey my name is Brian when i began my weight loss journey i was at 340lbs,now weighing in at 190lbs...My question is am i a good canidate for skin removal surgery?
Answer: Skin Removal Surgery After Weight Loss First off, congratulations to you on taking this important step toward living a healthier lifestyle. Dramatic weight loss is one of the most common reasons patients consider a skin removal surgery surgery. The fluctuations in weight can cause the excess skin in the breasts to loose its elasticity and droop, and can thus be the cause of self-consciousness in patients. From the pictures you have provided, it does indeed seem like a male breast reduction can provide you with beneficial results. For a more personalized answer, however, I recommend that you consult with a surgeon in your area and discuss your options in person.

Answer: 360 circumferential body lift belt lipectomy extended abdominoplasty torsoplasty male breast reduction gynecomastia Hi Brian,Congratulations on your massive weight loss. I think you would be an excellent candidate for at least a 360 circumferential lower bodylift. You have excess skin and fat of your abdomen, hips, and buttocks after your massive weight loss of 150 pounds. In addition you may need removal of skin and fat from the male breast and chest. This is often referred to as gynecomastia. Depending on physical examination, you may also need skin removed from your arms or a brachioplasty. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in massive weight loss patients. Please also seek a plastic surgeon with a significant amount of experience with 360 circumferential lower body lifts.Good luck and congratulations again.

Answer: Am I a candidate for skin tightening after major weight loss? Congratulations on your weight loss -- a major accomplishment and you should be proud of yourself. You now not only look much better -- you are indeed much healthier! When significant weight is lost, the skin cannot tighten up as well -- it's elasticity has been lost. Therefore, it is common for there to be loose, hanging skin and also residual, stubborn pockets of fat. The exact pattern is different from one person to another.Yes, it is possible to "trim your birthday suit" and understand it will probably require several operations to address all areas of concern. It will also be a trade-off of scars for a tighter, trimmer shape -- but most folks willingly make that trade. You should be at your lowest and most stable weight before considering any surgery. Would then suggest you visit several board certified plastic surgeons -- the consult fees will be worth it because you will gain much insight into what can be done and what your options are.I would be pleased to meet with you to discuss various possible treatments.Elliot W.
