I Have A Line on My Belly From Folding Skin. Will is Go Away?

Hi. I have a reddish line on my belly from where the skin has folded over for so long. I am hoping the incision from my TT will be on or below it, but if not can I expect the line to fade? My obgyn once mistaked it for a c-section scar if that describes it better. Thanks!

If the red line is below the belly button, it would get cut out with a tummy tuck, since it is on the portion of skin which is removed. If the fold is above the belly button, a tummy tuck will tighten the skin and will likely improve the appearance of the fold by pulling it flat. a photo would be of some help in answering your question.

Your surgeon should be able to demonstrate to you the amount of tissue which can be removed during your TT and determine whether the red line would be included in the tissue to be removed. If the line can't be removed, chances are it will fade after the TT as the skin should not be folded there any longer and the irritation which causes it will be gone.
