I'm a former smoker; by the date of my surgery, I would be Nicotine-free for two weeks and five days. My friends and family understand my concern with inhaling their second-hand smoke, so they keep a good distance when they light up, yet every now and then I tend to get a good whiff and immediately exhale and move further away from the source of smoke. This has happened quite a few times during the last two weeks. Would this have an impact on my surgery?

can be swollen for up to a year or more. Swelling will depend upon the
nature of maneuvers employed, presence of grafts or implants, thickness

It is likely just temporary bleeding from the trauma from blowing your nose. Best to contact your plastic surgeon and have them evaluate your source of bleeding. Good luck
Everyone's recovery is different but I have heard people describe similar symptoms. If you're otherwise healing well this is likely not something to worry about. If you are concerned, schedule a followup and have your plastic surgeon re-evaluate your nose.Stephen Weber MD, FACSDenver Facial...
