Is it okay to not wear the surgery bra for one night?

Question

I am one week post op with 415cc high profile round silicon implants. I have a surgery bra I am advised to wear 24/7 for 6 weeks after surgery. However it is very hard to hide under clothing and I have an event tonight. Will I be okay if I wear a wire free bra instead just for tonight and return to wearing the compression bra when I get home?

At one week post-op - it is still too early in your recovery process. There is a reason you were given those instructions by your operating Surgeon. You can jeopardize the final outcome of your surgery by not following the instructions. At one week - you can still develop hematoma, and many other complications if the post-op instructions are not followed.

I would highly suggest that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on wearing the bra. 6 weeks is a short time to sacrifice for a good cosmetic result.

I personally do not think it matters, but you should always check with your surgeon's office to follow the correct instructions.
