You are absolutely right to be very upset about this result. Whoever did this does not understand the first thing about double fold surgery. Please do not let them correct the situation. While it is very disturbing to have to live with this, it is fixable. I am fairly comfortable saying that very few surgeons on the face of the earth can fix this. The key is to preserve what is in the eyelid at this moment. It is highly likely that the surgeon who did this surgery did not really understand deep eyelid anatomy. More than likely your levator tendon was disinserted at the time of surgery. Please go on my website or read my free ebook that is cited below. This provides examples of how eyelids like these are repaired. Generally what I find is that the eyelid ptosis can be repaired and this creates an opportunity to shorten the upper eyelid platform and lower the upper eyelid crease. I suspect significant skin has been removed and this will somewhat limit the outcome but it will be much, much better once this is done. For now, let the eyelid heal. You should wait at lease 6 months before having this revised. There is excellent oculoplastic surgery in Sidney. I encourage you to get some second opinions and see if your local surgeons are comfortable repairing this before contemplating a trip abroad for a repair.
