Is the skin overlapping my eyelid crease normal one month after upper eyelid surgery? (Photos)

Hi Sofia,Thanks for your question and photos. It is common after a blepharoplasty for the skin to touch after surgery. This occurs because once the excess skin is removed the eyebrows do not need to lift the skin as much and then relax which takes away from your bleph result. This is normal. You do have levator ptosis or where the eyelid itself is lower than it should be. This should have been corrected during your previous surgery. You certainly have some residual swelling which takes months to resolve. The eye swelling gets better with time which typically improves results, but the eyebrows drooping is not corrected by your surgery but usually made worse. I would wait at least six months before deciding to correct anything. Good Luck.

If the upper eyelid crease is visible, that is a sign that too much skin has been removed from the upper eyelid. Eyelids that lack a fold look hollow and deplete.  Think Kenny Rogers and Rene Zellweger.  The face looks very different because without the fold of skin resting on the eyelid platform, there is no incentive to raise the forehead.  The brows are low now after surgery which in the absence of subbrow fullness, the brow and eye area look old compressed.  You also have ptosis which was not corrected at the time of your blepharoplasty.  You need to heal many months to determine what issues will persist and which issues will emerge before considering your options for revision if that is even necessary.
