I have a weak chin and my mouth sticks out, would I benefit from sliding genioplasty or any other procedures? (Photo)

 A full set of facial photographs  from all angles are required to make a determination about how to proceed. A  Sliding genioplasty is performed by oral surgeon under general anesthesia in a hospital setting with an overnight stay at the hospital. A sliding genioplasty is usually performed  when the teeth are significantly out of alignment. Chin implants are placed under local anesthesia as an outpatient procedure which usually takes approximately 30 minutes, and is much less invasive. Being a female and with a moderate horizontal chin projection deficiency the argument can be made for a sliding genioplasty approach to our chin augmentation. By moving the chin bone forward and vertically shortening it you may also improve any lower lip incompetence as well.

It maybe that your upper jaw grew downward too much. The chin will appear small because it’s going back.
