You and your surgeon did not communicate but that is all too common. Patients generally do not really understand what the surgeon's surgery is going to do. The surgeons do not talk about it. They just do their thing. That thing removes way too much upper eyelid skin and destroys the upper eyelid fold. I am one of the few surgeons on earth who offers revisional work on these eyelids. It is possible to lower the upper eyelid crease, mobilize scarred fat in the upper eyelid and generally make the upper eyelid softer and more like its presurgical appearance. The success of surgery very much depends on what is left in the eyelid. Generally some idea of this can be determined by a physical examination. I wish for your sake that surgeons who could provide this work for you lived closer to home but that simply does not exist. Do not let surgeons remove more of your upper eyelid fold. Fillers will not fix this.
