Hi there! Thanks for the questions. Necrosis of the cartilage grafts would be very unusual. If anything were to happen, it's an infection which is a very low risk overall. Skin necrosis can occur from pressure from the underlying grafts and the envelope being stretched too thinly. The timing for necrosis tends to appear fairly quickly after surgery and not in a delayed fashion. Hope this helps!
