Is there a way to lengthen the nose to make midface look longer? (Photo)

Question

I have a long philtrum and in my opinon, a short nose. The columella is retracted making the philtrum look longer. Is there a way to connect the columella a little lower to make the nose appear longer from the front? Would this also have the benefit of making my nose tip project less? I don't want a lip lift because i have full lips and i think that would make my chin look long especially since my lower third is longer than i like.

You are wise not to get the lip lift. It would drag your nostrils down and make them show even more. Lengthening a short nose is very difficult to achieve. Most results show very little if any improvement. That’s just my opinion and observation. I’m sure many plastic surgeons would disagree

Can a short nose be lengthened? lengthening a short nose is one of the more limited procedures in Rhinoplasty. a short nose can be lengthened by the addition of a an extension graft to the septum which could also slightly slightly increase the show of a recruded columella.. The amount of benefit is very limited in most cases. Fortunately you do not appear to have a particularly short nose or a retruded columella. reducing the projection of the nose is a separate part of a rhinoplasty and would not be accomplished by the extension graft but by other maneuvers during the procedure.
